Run to the River!

Join us this weekend for Riverfest in Canton, GA on September 26-27!

We had a great time this past weekend at Suwanee Fest in Suwanee, Ga!

We met some absolutely wonderful people that seemed to immensely enjoy our work.

The gang was pretty tuckered out by the end!

This week and last week have been filled with replacing all of our inventory that y'all have been snatching up at the shows! We are so happy to be busy with studio work because that means that y'all are giving us great business so please keep it up!

We have begun using a new kind of canvas called Lyve Canvas. This particular kind of canvas has a lot less texture than our other Crystalline Canvas and is much smoother. Due to its fine quality however, it needs to be sealed after printing so that it doesn't yellow or deteriorate with age. We use a product called Glamour II to seal the canvas.

The Glamour II is a thick liquid that must be diluted with water and then rolled onto the canvas and be left to dry. Besides protecting the canvas, after drying, the Glamour II also seems to make the colors shine even more!

Some of these Glamour II coated prints went on to be mounted onto wood boards to make our canvas boards.

To mount the canvas onto the boards, we roll on an adhesive product called Miracle Muck and then, carefully and precisely, roll the print onto the board.

We also made a few more resin-coated pieces!

After Mike built the frames, our newest team member, Megan, lacquered them for protection and shine.

Next comes the glue!

Very carefully, we glue the frame onto the board with the piece we are resining.

And we use weights to hold everything in place while the glue dries!

Before resining, we add a wood siding to the frame for a more complete look.  This includes ironing on the siding and then trimming off the excess.

Once the board and frame are secure, we tape the underside and corners of the frame so that no resin drips and dries onto the bottom of the board.

Now it's time to get messy and chase bubbles!

Those pieces came out beautifully and are the best ones that we have done so far.

Come find them in the booth to see the finished product!

We can't wait to see everyone out in Canton, Ga this weekend at Riverfest!
