Since we have been working hard in the past weeks to prepare for this show, this week was a little light on studio work for the show. All we really had to do was frame two more pieces.
This involves mounting the images onto a board, securing the board in the frame and adding the hanging hardware!
Wondering what's on the other side of these frames? Come out to the show to find out just which pieces these are!
One day this week, Mike and Ellie went out shooting in our local area. They found a beautiful little barn that just had to be captured.
Mike worked the 4x5 film camera with black-and-white film while Ellie shot digitally in color. After developing the film later that day and looking at the digital photo, they decided that they enjoyed the color photograph a little more than the black-and-white. So they decided to take the color version through our editing process and produced a gorgeous image printed on watercolor paper entitled Turk Barn.
It looked so great after it was printed that Mike decided to bring it with us to the show this weekend!
There will only be ONE Turk Barn print with us this weekend so if you feel it tugging at your artistic heartstrings then be sure to come get it before it is gone!
Also, Mike and Jan are heading out to Sedona, Arizona next week for a photography vacation!
They plan on capturing many beautiful images so stay tuned to see the results!
Thank you so much for checking in with us each week to see what happens in the studio!
Come see us at the show! We would love to meet every single one of you!
